The new reality – our new post Covid world will be different in good and bad ways. What we see as the new good will depend on our circumstances and experiences. But whatever our past we all need to contribute to the best possible future; this will need clarity of options and ways to recognise and agree solutions which we can all implement and benefit from - all of which TRIZ can provide.

The Coronavirus Pandemic has greatly changed all of our lives, for both the better and the worse, over the past year. Certainly Oxford Creativity is a very different, and we hope much better,  organisation than it was 12 months ago. Here are five ways the past year has changed the we teach TRIZ.

There are three coronavirus vaccines that are currently in the process of being launched and made available to as many people as possible, as soon as possible. All of which claim to have about 90% effectiveness in preventing coronavirus, from early data clinical trials. We will need many vaccine options, but which one comes out best according to TRIZ? 

Newton was in lock down when his theory of gravity / laws of physics became clear to him – he had been sent back to his family home from Cambridge because of a plague outbreak. It was thought that the overworked postgraduate needed the break from teaching and research to allow time and peace to do their work on his brain and thoughts.

I’ve read a lot of posts recently about how the world will never be the same after the Covid-19/Coronavirus pandemic. How, at least for sure in the first world, people have been forced to work from home, which has shown that it is much more possible than many would have had you believe. Even with one-year old twins hanging off your arms…
