Our Human Intelligence Tools training is made up of nine, 60-90 minute fast, focussed and effective workshops which enable teams to frame and subdue challenges and ensure good team building. Our workshops energise and inspire full participation from everyone present.

These HIT problem solving sessions cover the three fundamentals of:

  1. Context
  2. Requirements - what everyone wants (allowing for all views)
  3. Challenge/scope - define and resolve tough problems

Human Intelligence Tools transition discouraged teams from struggling with a problem mess to a clear understanding and definition of the challenge and how to resolve it. The HIT programme is logical, fast and systematic, and helps with all kinds of problems from different industries and organisations.

We aim to ensure that every minute of your HIT team sessions is effective and useful. We find that these intense sessions help banish conflicts, by sharing knowledge and ideas, without endless arguments. The HIT collaborative exercises create a consensus culture to build better happier teams, whose differences can be intelligently resolved by working together, sharing experience and solutions in order to move forward fast.

What benefits does this Workshop deliver?

  • Structured, highly interactive, time efficient sessions
  • Full participation and communication of ideas from everyone
  • Fresh perspectives to break out of mental inertia and to innovatively progress beyond 'ground-hog day' solutions
  • Efficient knowledge sharing and capture of relevant information
  • AI Prompts for each HIT module to deliver a clear written record and audit trail of all steps taken to frame the problem, and explore its solutions
  • An innovation culture of sharing all ideas
  • No time wasting arguments as everyone contributed their ideas, even those who tend to be non-verbal
  • Positive team building by progressing forward together and getting results

How does it work?

The progressive nine HIT Modules are structured to produce clear results with any group of people through systematic, easy to follow, interactive, efficient sessions. HIT begins by establishing good team culture with the Bad Solution Park which captures and delivers a record of everyone’s contributions. This ensures no-one’s answers are lost, as everything is efficiently documented but without contentious, longwinded discussions. Importantly no-one ‘sells’ their own solutions or criticises others’ ideas, but are encouraged to appreciate everyone’s contributions from their different individual experience and knowledge.

Teams work together to map the context (using the unique Oxford Creativity tool Time & Scale) and capture all requirements/benefits (by defining everyone’s Ideal Outcome). Discussion is minimised instead groups of 3-4 people complete together our carefully designed, HIT worksheets (on preprinted sheets for in-person sessions or editable pdf’s when working together online). This gives a clear written record and audit trail of all steps taken to frame the problem, and explore its solutions (past, present and future). It also ensures that everyone has contributed their ideas (without necessarily saying anything) so it is good for the quiet team members, and very democratic.

All HIT tools are based on unique and powerful TRIZ logic. Each session begins with a video so no previous learning is required. Each stage and exercise is explained as we progress through.

Oxford Creativity also offers bespoke in-house expert facilitated workshops designed to tackle and address your particular issues.
