Substance-Field Analysis

Substance-Field Analysis (also known as S-Field or Su-Field Analysis) is a system of some kind of interaction by a force or field between two substances. It zooms in on problem areas and reveals problem types of harms, insufficiencies and excess. It is powerful for building functional models (it is like a functional snapshot) showing the exact interaction between systems or components for one moment in time. Problems identified by Su-Field Models are normally harmful or inadequate functions which can be solved by applying the TRIZ 76 Standard Solutions as a triangle (a Su-Field model).

The three elements, S1, S2 and F are needed to make up each Su-Field triangle. Substances can be a tool and what it acts on Hammer= S1, Hits = F, Nail = S2.
