Stalled team, design next
generation product with TRIZ

A clever technical team tasked with
delivering a smaller, cheaper, better industrial, fire alarm broke their six months deadlock after learning TRIZ for two days. Their TRIZ inspired solution enabled them to meet all their design objectives, cut manufacturing costs by 50%, and retain and increase market-share on launch. Critical success came from uncovering and solving the fundamental design contradiction – the logic of which had eluded them for over six months. Outside their offices a full skip of rejected prototypes bore witness to their protracted struggle before finding the answer together with TRIZ.
