My fellow Mechanical Engineers (then and now) were not just one of the nicest groups I have known but also one of the happiest and healthiest. Their contentment and pride at what they had achieved in their careers was heartening and unlike many, they all have enjoyed their work. Oxford TRIZ has given me the privilege of working mostly with engineers and scientists for the last 30 years and I am so impressed not just at what a very decent bunch of people they all are, but also very dedicated and very determined to solve problems as cleverly as possible. People who learn and love TRIZ tend to be very clever, so of course, are delighted when TRIZ enhances all their genius tendencies.
To mark my happy career in Oxford TRIZ I am launching a new toolkit to ensure that
technical communities can use TRIZ to drive and harness AI power. It is called Human Intelligence Tools (HIT) and helps us multiply /apply our valuable experience and knowledge and work better to develop it as a team. HIT makes TRIZ easier to learn and apply, and also helps us run fast & focused workshops with non-TRIZ people. It is self-facilitated, with 9 action packs to run 1–2-hour workshops. They are designed to support both business and technical teams working on real, urgent problems. The packs are deliberately practical and easy to use, foregrounding application and needing no prior teaching.
All nine workshop support specific outcomes and produce tangible outputs. HIT ensures that valuable team time is never squandered, but enables an effective and fast pace for meetings and workshops. HIT eliminates time wasting arguments to ensure everyone communicates efficiently, and innovative ideas can be intelligently developed and applied.
