Team Building & Knowledge Sharing needs Contradiction Thinking

Dr Jekyll

Everyone is a contradiction. Clever teams build on each other’s strengths, and contradiction thinking helps them recognise what is GOOD and BAD about each other’s ideas (and each other) without judgement. This reduces stress as we work better, even with our most annoying teammates, as it helps us remember that what is BAD about someone often mirrors their GOOD points (e.g. pushy people get things done).

All team members have different solutions and combining them is the logical path to share knowledge and build innovative solutions together. This happens when clever, technical communities start using the Contradiction Toolkit beginning with the BAD SOLUTION Park. It is brain and time efficient as it eliminates circular and pointless arguments about whose ideas are best, and conserves valuable problem solving time for real thinking and good, constructive debate. Many also say “why didn’t we know that there are just 40 ways of resolving conflicts as it takes us straight to clever answers?”.

All this positively changes behaviour in team problem solving, ensuring that teammates’ ideas are recorded but not criticised. This constructive and efficient sharing of experience and knowledge builds their collective human intelligence.
